My new machine is here... but she doesn't fit on my table!
I've got a few ideas...
(ikea)
(aw man can't you just see the serger sitting on that little sliding table? *wistful sigh*)
...but it's looking like we're gonna have to do some MAJOR reorganizing to fit a bigger table in a room that already houses a train table, expedit with toy baskets, easel, fabric cabinet, and cutting table. Yikes.
Anyone out there have a great table that they love for sewing (pretty sturdy/no bouncing) that isn't a $1k or higher Arrow or Kangaroo table (not that I wouldn't love one- that's just a BUNCH of money!)? I would LOVE some recommendations!

I use an old dining room table. I actually took the legs off, and bought patio post the fancy ones, flipped them upside down and cut them to match the height of my cutting table, so now the two are the same height. Then I took an old bar stool, and a old kitchen chair that had a broken leg, and took the other 3 legs off the chair, so now it was legless, and got a lazy susan and put the legless chair on top of the bar stool, and then cut the legs down to make it a little shorter so I could sit at my taller table. My foot pedal sits on top of a box that I also use as a stool for my other foot as well when I am sewing. I love my setup! No achy back, and less than $40.
No advice but I have always loved your little blue table. It inspired me to go find one but I changed my mind about painting it, I loved the wood too much. Here's a peak at my little table http://mylifeisthejackpot.blogspot.com/2010/11/craigslist-is-my-friend.html
