ta daaaaaah!: I *FINISHED* the Crazy Mom Quilt-a-long!

FINISHED round-and-round quilt!

There were moments when I had my doubts, but last night I actually FINISHED Crazy Mom Quilts' Quilt-a-Long! SCORE! I started this quilt in April and have just now finished... September 9th. Slow and steady wins the race, right?

front!

This quilt is made using Modern Meadow by Joel Dewberry for the front, the backing is a sheet from Target ($7.99!) and the binding is a random navy/white that I found at HeavelLei Creations on Etsy.

edge

I quilted it lightly, only along the white sashing, so that it would stay fluffy and light (and also because I'm a little lazy and still not brave enough to attempt stippling).

folded

The finished quilt is about 63" x 63" and the perfect size to snuggle with. It will live in my den for a long, long time!

Thanks for an awesome (yet way more that I bargained for!) quilt-a-long, Amanda Jean!

I love your quilt! I love the colors you used and your choice of quilting and the cool striped binding are perfect! Great job! (I think I'll have to check out the quilt-a-long out...)

Good job!!!! I AM impressed and I love the fabrics and binding you used!

I'm still working on that quilt along. I'm on week 8. I sat down and pieced all my rows together so everything is prepped now. I put the first row of week 8 on and it looks like garbage so I put it away. I'll have to decide if I'm going to remove it and try to fix it or just throw the whole thing together and get it over with. It's a gift and the recipient won't care if it isn't perfect.

Our quilts are cousins!! I love how yours turned out, really pretty. It's so fun to see different designs with the same fabric and vice versa! :)
