I wish I was joking, but literally zero pieces have made it to the trash bin.
I may have to be on "Hoarders".
Anyways, the first thing I did was obviously the quilt- here's my progress so far (as of this minute, I'm a week behind. Oh well. I'll catch up! ):
Next, I took some of the scraps from cutting the strips and braided them for a necklace to wear with my favorite navy shirt!

The third thing I made (see how ridiculous this is getting?) is the
sneak preview I gave you a couple of days ago! Joe and I both have little black softcover bibles that we received from the headmaster and teachers when we graduated from high school- they're identical on the outside except for our names inscribed veeeeery small on the front right corner (which mine isn't even the same anymore but that's beside the point!). Also, every Sunday I end up dropping papers or forgetting my pen so I really wanted to make a bible cover! I saw
this tutorial over at Amy's Creative Side, but I didn't really want handles (weird, huh?) and I had some linen scraps so I made this:

I used my snap press (YES! I always want to use it but never have a reason to!) so that it basically folds over and closes- keeping all papers in that handy pocket or between pages! Score!
The LAST thing I made is for one of YOU!
As you will note to the right, I now have 101 followers- that's nuts!
Thank y'all so much for reading all of this random crap (baby junk, sewing junk, cooking stuff, some photo stuff!) and leaving all the sweet comments about things I make!
I used linen and (obviously) Joel Dewberry's Modern Meadow 100% cotton prints to make this clutch/bag. The finished size is a one and a half inch taller (for a finished size of 9" wide by 6 1/2" tall) than the ones that I sell in the etsy shop. The finished size is and I want one of YOU to have it as a thank you for helping me reach my first milestone of 100 (and 1!) followers!
Win It!
To enter, leave me a comment here (don't forget to include your email address!) telling me a crafty fact about you! Do you like to sew? Are you a bad-a with some knitting needles? Can you scrapbook the pants of anyone who dares challenge you? I want to know!

- Follow my blog (if you're not one of my lovely 101 already!)

I will choose a winner on Friday, July 16th and notify the winner by email.
If I don't hear back in 48 hours, I'll pick another winner.
Good luck and thanks so much for reading all these ramblings!

Do you read Cluck Cluck Sew? There was a really pretty Modern Meadow quilt posted there on June 30th.
I'm a sewer! I'm jealous of all your quilting ambition- I made my very first one as a Christmas gift this year for my sister and loved parts of the process and the finished product but I hate cutting and the quilting itself, so I haven't been able to bite the bullet on doing another yet- just collecting loads and loads of inspiration until I summon up the motivation to tackle another!

I have been sewing for what seems like all of my life. My mom taught me and just recently your blog inspired me to make my first quilt. So THANKS! :) It came out darling, and I've already got 2 more in the works. haha.
I also scrapbook like crazy. My husband's aunt and I go on retreats a few times a year. It's so much fun!

Your shop is adorable. Love the little bow tie on your son in your shop photo. :) Hah too cute for words! 2 things I would love to see more of in your shop are cloth napkins/unpaper towels and cloth wipes.
Okay - I love to scrapbook although after having a baby I have taken to scrapbooking online. I also am slowly learning to sew.
My email addy is: kerrims.im.just.sayin@gmail.com
I follow you here and on facebook.
Lastly I would like to see a few things in your shop. I know you have some cloth napkins, but I think it would be nice to have like placemats or a table cloth or table runner to match. I love matchy sets!
The other thing is when you do camera straps make some in more manly colors and patterns. My hubs is the photographer around here but all the ones I see are girly.
I love your blog. The things you make seem so accessible in my I can do anything just because I bought a sewing machine mind. Not really grounded in reality. I am Crafty like a Beastie Boys song...scrapbooks, cross stitching, sewing, painting, doodling flowers all so me :)

I would love more boy stuff and an apron/smock for my little one.
I'm a sewer, but I've never learned to quilt. I have a family friend teaching me at the end of the month. I'm so excited!

I love all things crafty... I guess you could call me a jack of all trades, but a master of none... I've done some awesome diaper cakes, done quilts, painted a bit... I wish I had time to finish all the projects I have started and craft all the time.

I am not really very crafty...unless you count cooking as crafty. I do love to cook and eat. :)

Following! I can't believe I wasn't already. SORRY! I honestly thought I was.
Liked/fanned you on FB
I would love to see unpaper towels added. The kind that snap together are the best IMO. Terry on one side, flannel on the other.
Oooohhhh that is super cute!!
I'm a knitter, a doodler, and a painter. ;) My word art is my favorite ... I'm a THAT chick with a full set of Sharpies in the bottom of her diaper bag!

I'm glad I don't have access to Paypal right this second ... Love your shop. Would love to see more headbands/hair pieces for Mommas. I have *a lot* of hair, anything that keeps it out of the hands of my squirmy little 8 month old is a good thing!

You are too funny. Love, love, love your blog. (=
I like to sew... crib rail guard, diapers, dresses, etc, etc, etc... I've dabbled in knitting as well.
I am in love with this line also. I have just found your blog and quickly became a follower!!
I am a sewer that loves to make quilts and purses!

Lovely giveaway! I agree with you about the Joel Dewberry fabric (though sadly I have none). Love what you share. Oh yes, I've been sewing since 7, took up knitting a few years ago, and am still learning along the way!
Great giveaway! I am a follower of your blog.
I also follow you/like you/whatever! on facebook.
I love Modern Meadow too! I'm loving your Bible cover too!
I love, love, love to sew. I have no idea what I did with my time before I discovered sewing :-)
I'm a follower too!
I love to scrapbook even though I don't have much time to do it anymore.
I checked out your store and would love to see you carry some cloth wipes - you have such cute fabrics I'm sure they would be fun!
I fail at anything crafty I attempt to do myself. My husband, on the other hand, is naturally crafty. I often start projects and have him finish them. When we were dating I tried to learn how to knit-he ended up being better at it than me!
smithmn1@gmail.com
I like to sew but am pretty new at it so still learning...
I follow your blog.
I sew and have been trying out harder projects as time goes on. I also knit and have learned a few new things when I first made longies for DD
